5 Letter Mix-Up
5 Letter Mix Up
Rounds
- Rounds are begun by the previous winner (After 24 Hours, anyone may begin)
- Rounds end if nothing is posted in 72 Hours (Round only ends on command. The round continues if someone chooses to play instead of end the game)
- A round must begin with a five letter word
- Starting words must be able to continue (Good Examples: Waste, Clock, Blast, Block, Light; Bad Examples: Hippo, Photo, Water, Quack, Ninja)
- A previous starting word may not be used to start a round
Rules
- A word must stay within 4-6 letters (Punctuation for contractions and such are allowed, and do not count towards this restriction)
- If a name is used, it must be a common name (Examples: Kate, Alex, Duke, Lisa, Jose, Chad, Taylor, Bobby, Will, Joey, Jared, Katie, Sasha, Susan, Austin, George, etc.)
- A word may not be repeated within the same round
- A word must be a real word in English (Should a conflict occur, provide a definition of the word, and provide the dictionary, preferably an online one, you found it in. Wikipedia and Urban Dictionary do not count.)
- Geographic names, acronyms, and other proper nouns or terms used must be somewhat common, and in their English forms (Should a conflict occur, be specific on where/what it is, and explain why you think it's common).
- You may only make one move per turn
- You may not post twice within 24 hours unless the newest post is not yours (Challenges, reverts, comments, and other non-move posts do not count here)
- If a word is invalid, or a rule is broken, the game will revert to the previously correct word (If nobody declares a revert within three moves of the infraction, the word stays.)
Legal Moves
- Changing one letter (Example: Face -> Mace)
- Adding a letter (Example: Last -> Blast)
- Removing a letter (Example: Plate -> Late)
- Switching two existing letters within the word (Example: Trap -> Tarp)
- Flipping the order of the entire word (Example: Maps -> Spam)
- Moving one letter to another position (Example: Spin -> Pins)
- Words pronounced the same may be changed (Example: Hair -> Hare)
Example Round:
- Spoiler:
- 1) Grape (Starting Word)
2) Rape (Removing the Letter "G")
3) Raps (Changing "E" to "S")
4) Maps (Changing "R" to "M")
5) Mats (Changing "P" to "T")
6) Pats (Changing "M" to "P")
7) Parts (Adding the Letter "R")
8) Strap (Flipping the order of the entire word)
9) Traps (Moving "S" to another position)
10) Tarps (Switching "R" and "A")
11) Tarp (Removing the Letter "S")
12) Harp (Changing "T" to "H")
13) Hare (Changing "P" to "E")
14) Hair (Changing to a word pronounced the same)
So, here the first word, let's so how far we can take it before starting another round.
"Waste"

Re: 5 Letter Mix-Up
You didn't need to quote the OP.
Also, that's an illegal move. Going from "Waste" to "Ate" would require two moves, and 3 letter words aren't even allowed.
Try again! :3

I'll go easy this first round. That's arguably not a word, but I'll let it slide.
